Type of title sequence/Genre

As a group we have decided to have a stylised title sequence. It will also be titles over moving images.
Some of the reasons for us choosing to use this type of sequence are:
A lot of the editing will be used within the font and text shown, for example if sharp lettering is used, people will be able to guess the genre(thriller) and maybe assume that danger and weapons will be involved which will automatically attract our main target audience, which is males in their teens.
Using stylised title sequence also makes it seem like the text is within the scene itself, which makes it look more realistic and holds the attention of the audience.
We have been influenced by the title sequences from shutter island, Devil, Panic Room, Obsessed and Zombieland.

We intend to stick close to the genre's conventions

As a group we decided to make a Thriller title sequence. The films shown have individually inspired us in different ways. We have combined the theme of "Obsessed" and "devil" for the plot of our film and then taken particular conventions from "Panic Room" like the sound and establishing shot from the title sequence and "Shutter Island".
