Blog Post17-Genre shortlist

Genre Shortlist

As a group we decided to chose from these 3 genres to produce our own title sequence:

 1.Action
The reasons we choose it:
It attracts a wide audience through the adrenaline filled action opening sequences.
There is no set conventional storyline for action films, which gives us freedom and allows us to be creative.
When produced to high standard that fully immerses the audience, the experience can be extremely entertaining.

2.Horror
The reasons we choose it:
Jump scares are relatively easy to achieve and these play a large role in many horrors.
In terms of budget, any props used in horror movies can be found cheap.
Locations vary but there is not a high demand for anywhere eccentric; they can be filmed anywhere as long as eerie atmosphere is created.
They also attract a wide range of audience.
Tension is easy to create in the opening sequence and it's easy to hook the audience.

3.Thriller
The reasons we choose it:
Interesting story lines that intrigue the viewers
Locations and props could be anything and anywhere, due to the variety of thrillers
It could work with a small cast
Usually set in big cities, so London is an ideal location for our title sequence.
