Kyle Cooper is accredited with the man who single handedly revitalised the main title sequence as an art form. He thinks that a good title sequence consists of making the audience forget what's happening around them right in that moment.

He said that he likes the "To Kill A Mocking Bird" title sequence as it encapsulates the main characters obsession. Also the circular objects distort the background and typography is integrated.
When he says "story based" title sequences he means a clear
metaphor that has to do with what the film is about.

The problems that a studio could face after a test screening are that they might not have enough of a budget to re shoot a scene or the audience may not understand a particular aspect.
The 2 and a half minutes of title sequence is become important for the studio because they use it to become another scene and it also helps to put in some information that may have been left out.

Kyle Cooper think that titles are important to a film because people realise that they can help the movie and they can tell a back story put you where you need to be. Designers that can tell a story are moving into creation or content.
