blog post 9- what are the 4 different types of film openings?

There are 4 main categories of title sequences, these are:
-Titles on a blank screen
This is a just words on a screen. Its usually used when you have a low budget and it has high contrast

-Titles on still images
It gives a sense of genre by text and it requires combining different
types of media.

-Titles over moving images
Usually has no dialogue and it offers either a metaphor or narrative thread.

-Titles using animation or motion
This will contain animated text, a lot of digital technology & editing and the graphics would usually link to the theme.

My favourite title sequence is 'Titles using animation or motion'
because it uses a lot of digital technology and it has a lot of animations which transition smoothly.
