9 - Different types of film openings

There are 4 main categories of title sequences:

Titles on a blank screen

- Low budget

- Simple and uncomplicated

- High contrast

Titles on still images 

- Gives sense of genre, 

- Combination of different media, 

- Picture may give you an idea  about the themes in a movie

Titles over moving images

-     Usually no dialogue

- Narrative

- Moving image could be a metaphor

Titles using animation or motion

- Animated text

- Digital technology

- Stylized editing 

- Graphics related to theme of film 

My favourite type of title sequence is Titles over moving images because often they give you an insight to what the movie is going to be about.
I like the title sequence for the film "Zombieland" because its an introduction tot he film telling us what its going to be about. When the credits start to come in the moving image becomes slow motion.
